What already works is kept in view, because it records what customers, staff and other systems have come to depend on. Replacing it means relearning that, usually at a cost. What is missing, strained or undecided is named before anything is recommended for it.
What it is not
It is not a blank restart. It is not a generic discovery workshop dropped onto a live situation.
